Our History

The first Catholic school in St Vincent's Parish opened on 8 August 1881, at Queen Street, Knutsford.

It was built under the supervision of Father Robert Maurice and accommodated eighty children between the ages of three and fifteen years. The first teacher to be appointed was Miss Elizabeth O'Brien, with Miss Walsh as her assistant.

In the 1940's Miss Rebitt became Headmistress, her deputy being Mr O'Gorman.

The present school, at Manor Park South, opened in 1967 with Mr Ronald McCormick as Headmaster and upon his retirement in 1988, was followed by Mrs Gertrude Clementson. Following her retirement, Mrs Anne Jones was appointed in September 1994.

The current Headteacher, Mrs Roisin Moores was appointed in January 2000.
