Should We Avoid All Risk Taking? We Say 'No - It Just Depends'

A doctor could need to take chances when working with a patient. The Doctor might have to play around with various sorts of medicines or new medical procedures when all else has failed in an effort to help the patient. A counsel might have to disagree a case in an unusual demeanour to win the case, but if the barrister wants to become the top barrister and make millions of bucks fighting high visibility cases plenty of risks need to be taken. An infantryman might need to take a chance and run through gunfire to save another hurt infantryman, to finish their mission, or simply to secure an area from being engulfed by enemy troops, after going days with little or even no sleep, but if an infantryman wants to get promotions and eventually lead men into battle they also have to take chances.

These hazards aren't unlike somebody wanting to get loaded in a casino, they need to be content to risk everything they must get that million buck payoff. If you play it conservatively in a casino you will get fortunate and win a giant jackpot on the slots, but if you would like to make millions you're going to be forced to play games like Poker, 21, Roulette and Craps.

The same may be said about life generally. Nobody gets ahead in life from playing it safe. You won't meet your special somebody if you're too scared to chance getting defied by somebody, you may never get that large promotion unless you take chances at your job. It is vital to resume to take chances in life. These are often the people scared to face up to the chief and let him know that they demand a raise, they are those that permit life to pass them by from fear.

The whole point of fear is to prevent you from gambling. Fear is not a lot more then the unknown.

Just remember if nobody took on hazards we might be a world without flight and doubtless no autos/cars at all, perhaps we might have no electricity. So risk actually is wanted to improve the planet.
